We didn't even have time to analyze the Smart scooter (eScooter) before MINI released its English response. It's called MINI Scooter E and it's a small two-wheeler, decidedly more concrete than the futuristic one from the Teutonic car manufacturer Smart. Even in the case of the new MINI scooters, the presentation will take place at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, which will take place starting from October 2nd and will remain active until the 17th of the same month.

MINI Scooter E, in any case, is a family that includes three precise variations: Ego, intended for solo driving, which is decorated in white/blue colour, E, dedicated to eco-friendly driving, painted in green/blue shades , and the most vintage of all, embellished with the classic and English British Racing green.

What these three MINI scooters have in common is propulsion: an electric motor is housed on the rear hub and is coupled to a lithium ion battery and the KERS system, which recovers kinetic energy during braking. The range of the MINI Scooter E, like that of the Smart eScooter, is approximately one hundred kilometres, although the new British product can reach a maximum speed of sixty kilometers per hour (eScooter: forty-five kilometers per hour).

The Scooter E battery can be recharged by connecting the plug, located in a compartment at the rear of the two-wheeler, to the normal household line. MINI Scooter E, moreover, offers a line very similar to that of the entire MINI range (the same single headlight, for its part, seems to have been taken from the Countryman SUV). The rider will be able to connect his mobile phone with the Bluetooth connection and communicate with his vehicle through the helmet. In what way, I don't know. Prices? It seems they start at around 2.500 euros, but it's too early to confirm.
