Peugeot Django: vintage, but in step with the times

Three engines and four trim levels, maximum customization

There is no cinematic reference in the name of the new vintage-hi-tech Peugeot Django scooter. One scooter with a certain aesthetic impact, that's for sure, like it or not. Django presents a look that brings the style of the French company back over the years, thanks to sinuous, rounded shapes, with chrome scattered here and there. To counterbalance the vintage style, avant-garde touches and modern mechanics but, “ca va sans dire”, all well blended and without excesses. Particular aesthetic attention was paid to the typical elongated bodywork, a typical aesthetic feature of the most famous scooters available after the war.

An example of modern-retro, the small dashboard: a retro look for the speedometer, which changes into a modern one in its digital heart which, moreover, is very rich in information. Django uses a proven cycling base. It sits on 12-inch wheels and brakes using 200 mm discs. The 8,2 liter tank should guarantee good autonomy, while the driving position at 770 mm from the ground should bring safety to all possible users. Django aims to be a comfortable and practical scooter: the compartment under the saddle easily accommodates a jet helmet, while in the rear shield you can store objects within reach with the plus of a 12V socket. Two bag hooks and a useful flat platform are also available.

Django will be released in three engines: 2 or 4 stroke 50 cc, 125 cc with 10,2 HP and 150 cc 11,3 HP. The 125 and 150 are equipped with integral braking Syncro Braking Control. There are four trim levels: Heritage, Sport, Evasion and Allure; Furthermore, Peugeot declares, for customization maniacs, that Django can be cut into 178.000 combinations possible stylistic features via a sort of online configurator called “Django ID” which allows you to customize and have your own Django scooter made to measure. This new Peugeot will be available from next summer at a price that is still being defined.
