A technological solution introduced by the manufacturer on various motorcycles, such as the example of Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin protagonist in the video together with the pilot Taka Fujinami, HRC Trial World Champion.

The agility of Honda DCT

The video highlights another interesting aspect of the dual clutch gearbox proposed by Honda. A solution which, as mentioned, can appear on several models of the manufacturer, which is versatile NC750X to the cited CRF1100L Africa Twin also in the Adventure Sports variant.
The system DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) is characterized by the action of two hydraulically operated clutches, which contain the shifting times, having the previous or next gear available.
Among the interesting factors, the possibility to choose between one is also highlighted Manual mode and Automatica. Gear changes are facilitated by paddles located on the left handlebar block and the mechanism features steel gears.
Since 2010, DCT technology has represented one of the reference systems in the panorama, a solution designed both for daily use and for the most demanding routes.

22YM CRF1100L AFRICA TWIN

The most recent Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin models are equipped with instrumentation on a 6,5-inch TFT screen, together with solutions for interaction and support for the motorcyclist, considering a six-axis IMU inertial platform and six Riding Modes of which four preset and two customizable.
Together with a semi-double cradle steel frame, the structure also includes an aluminum seat support frame. The suspension part of the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin is defined by multi-adjustable suspensions, while the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports features solutions with the Showa EERA™ electronic system.
The engine is a parallel twin, a heart from 1.084 cc. A power of 102 horses and a pair of 105 Nm.
