Kymco AK550 ETS in version Euro 5 presents several innovations from an aesthetic and technical point of view, such as a new accelerator control system ETS, Electronic Throttle System.

Design

Finishes, ergonomics and connectivity are among the aspects that stand out. The look is characterized by distinctive light clusters full-LED, associated with sculpted shapes covered with colors that give elegance and distinction. The colors also include a new Opaque Sand Scalve, furthermore the central frame of the internal shield, the tank cover and the nose are now covered in a brilliant glossy black, as reported. There is also a double-decker saddle placed at 790 millimeters high with manageable backrest and electrically opened under-seat compartment with adjustable courtesy light, where a full-face helmet can be stored. Also noted are a two-position height-adjustable windscreen, two-compartment front storage compartments with lid and USB socket in the left drawer and heated grips.

The rear-view mirrors are retractable and anti-glare and the vehicle has a double stand, central and lateral. The instrumentation is full digital LCD and among the technological aspects we also list: a Keyless starting system, a dual mode full power or rain mode control unit, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a functional Noodoe Navigation also connected to the interaction and the mentioned ETS accelerator control system, Electronic Throttle System also known as Ride by Wire with a potentiometer that works as a throttle position sensor. The range of accessories available is varied, further highlighting the sporty or functional aspects of the model.

Technique and engine

The maxi scooter is characterized by an aluminum structure which is combined with a double plate hydraulic telescopic fork. 41 mm and hike from 120 mm, then a single-sided oscillating rear swingarm also in aluminum with a travel of 48 mm. Also highlighted is a belt transmission that contains the unsprung masses, favoring the performance of the rear suspension and an optimal 50/50 weight distribution. The braking system includes a Bosch 9.1 dual-channel ABS system with a double front disc 270 mm in diameter and a single disk from 260 mm rear and Brembo calipers. The vehicle also features 15-inch five-spoke light alloy wheels wearing 120/70-15 tires at the front and 160/60-15 at the rear.
The drive unit, in accordance Euro 5, is a water-cooled 4-stroke twin-cylinder. The maximum power is 51 horses (37,5 kW) at 7.500 rpm and the peak torque of 51,9 Nm at 5.750 rpm.

Proposal

The new Kymco AK550 ETS E5 you drive with an A license and on request there is also a version for an A2 license. It is available in colours Dossena grey, Matt Allione Black and in the new Sand Scalve Matt already mentioned at the public list price of 9.490,00 euros, currently on promotion at 8.790,00 euros, as reported.
