I like the bike more and more. This is according to the data released by Confindustria ANCMA. In fact, registrations in the month of October reached 13.909 vehicles with an increase of +22,6% compared to the same month of 2016. The contribution of motorbikes was important with 5.174 units and a notable +33,3%, while scooters , which with 8.735 units are worth 63% of the month's registrations, grew by +17%. 50cc vehicles with 1.985 registrations recorded a +22,7%. October accounts for approximately 6% of total sales for the year.

Corrado Capelli, President of the National Cycle and Motorcycle Accessories Association, comments on these data as follows: “The economic situation is favourable, thanks to the recovery of international trade. Both industrial production and Italian exports are increasing, positive indicators also for employment. Consumer confidence, together with a newfound purchasing power, generates growing data for the automotive sector. In this context, two-wheeler registrations continue a growth path which consolidates the progressive data and reassures us of a more than positive end to the year, with volumes returning to 2 levels".

"The market recovery is not accidental, but the result of the work of the manufacturers and of the entire motorcycle supply chain which has been able to invest in product innovation, expanding the offer with vehicles that involve new users, without forgetting the enthusiasts who have always had a motorbike in the garage – added Capelli -. The demand for replacement, penalized in the years of crisis, has been joined by a renewed interest in the use of two wheels as a solution to mobility problems. The 75th edition of EICMA will open next week, which promises to be among the richest in sensational innovations, which will develop their potential in the coming years. It will be the right opportunity to imagine the future of our sector and to bring to society's attention an industry that wants to grow in complete safety and make its contribution by improving the environmental situation in our cities".
