At the end of a complex investigation coordinated by the Ancona prosecutor's office, the financiers of the Porto Recanati Tenenza conducted an operation that led to the complaint from three people involved in illicit marketing of motocross bikes as part of a maxi-tax fraud with undeclared revenues of over 10 million euros and VAT evasion of more than 5 million.

Another success after the two arrests in 2021

The operation of the Guardia di Finanza received the praise of Confindustria ANCMA (National Association of Motorcycle Cycle Accessories) for another success, after the two arrests carried out in 2021 in Olgiate Comasco, also achieved thanks to the proactive commitment of the motorcycle manufacturers associated with ANCMA and their complaints.

In a released note, the president of the association Paul Magri he compliments "the work carried out by the soldiers of the Porto Recanati Tenenza" and announces ANCMA's desire to "continue the information and monitoring activity without stopping".

President Magri's reference is to the work that the association has been carrying out for more than three years with the same manufacturers (Fantic, GASGAS, Honda RedMoto, Husqvarna Motorcycles, KTM, Kawasaki, Yamaha and TM Racing) to inform enthusiasts about the risks and the judicial consequences deriving from the purchase of motorcycles as part of fraudulent systems that hide tax fraud (crimes of receiving stolen goods and careless purchase). Furthermore, the ANCMA initiative was created not only to shine a spotlight on the fraudulent mechanism behind suspicious easy-saving offers proposed by some sellers, but also to protect the official sales network from unfair competition.

Giro which in Italy is worth over 30 million euros

According to ANCMA, the illicit framework made up of artificial triangulations to evade VAT on which this phenomenon is based could affect at least 20% of the reference market, which in Italy is worth a total of more than 30 million euros. Against the temptation of easy savings, the invitation of manufacturers and distributors is therefore to always turn to the network of official dealers present in the area, where seriousness, transparency and professionalism are found.
