Agv and Valentino Rossi
Valentino's desire takes shape from Aldo Drudi's pencil...
Once again the partnership Rossi-Drudi (with the AGV technical support) amazed everyone in the development of the image livery of the nine-time world champion. A choice that goes against the grain and which differs greatly from the choices made by Valentino in past seasons. Here is the 2018 graphic: inspired by the helmets of the Years' 70, with linear shapes and large areas of color that stand out on the shells accompanied by the driver's name and number.
From drawing by Aldo Drudi , skilled hand of Davide “DID“, takes shape Valentino's wish, who has always dreamed and imagined being able to compete in that historical period of motorcycling. It was a clear change in trend compared to the last livery presented for the pre-season winter tests, the colorful “Mexican”, full of details.
The distinctive character of "Doctor" to cover itself with many dense colored details (with non-obvious meanings) which are avant-garde and precursor of trends and have often been imitated even in the colors by other pilots, in fact, this year the counter-current idea of keeping a simple and clean line is desired, this is demonstrated by the synthesis of the Sun-Moon design, now clearly distinguishable and recognizable even from a distance.
The biggest news for this Livery on GP R track, ready for an upcoming “rerun” during the season, is from the point of view of colors, a highly sought after matte finish on the Dark Blue areas, contrast perfectly with the drawings in “Giallo Valentino” are glossy.
THEAGV Pista GP R the perfect synthesis of protection, performance, comfort and design is confirmed. Impact protection, peripheral vision, weight, aerodynamics, ventilation and ergonomics are part of the innovative process AGV Extreme Standards which raised the level of technology and development of the entire category, today represents a milestone in head protection systems.
