We concluded our direct experience at the True Adventure Offroad Academy a few weeks ago (here is our article on participation in the course), which was the last date of the 2016 calendar. After the great successes achieved during the 9 weekends of 2016, Honda has decided to implement resources for the creation of off-road driving courses which for 2017 will cover 14 dates.

Over 150 enthusiasts, in the 9 events from March to November, decided to savor the taste and adrenaline of off-roading, improving their technique under the supervision of the Honda True Adventure Offroad Academy. Thanks to these events, Honda has decided to get closer to all customers who, despite having a great passion for off-roading and having a vehicle suitable for the discipline, were not willing to risk damaging their Honda to put the wheels off the asphalt . The Academy was therefore developed to teach its customers – from beginner to expert enduro rider – to know how to exploit all the qualities and potential of their motorbikes in complete safety, having fun and managing to acquire greater mastery in any condition of poor grip or rough terrain.

To participate in courses for off-road driving at the True Adventure Offroad Academy it is necessary to own a Honda motorbike from the current 'Adventure' range (CRF1000L Africa Twin, Crosstourer, Crossrunner, NC750X, CB500X) but owners of previous generation models are also welcome (XRV Africa Twin, Transalp, Varadero, etc.). However, those who do not own a Honda motorbike or, despite owning one, prefer to participate in the course with a CRF1000L Africa Twin from the school, can request it at the time of booking by paying a surcharge compared to the participation fee with their own motorbike.

The technical area It is spread over 22 hectares of land, with a path dedicated to the development of the basic techniques of 2 km and a second route of 7 km to apply the skills acquired. The second day of the course, then, is entirely dedicated to something exciting off-road excursion of over 60 km. The entire course is run by Marcellus Roman, a former enduro and cross rider, who takes care of the technical supervision and is an instructor in collaboration with a team of expert enduro riders.

The courses last two days (Saturday and Sunday) and the participation fee includes: two lunches and one dinner in a farmhouse, staff available for mechanical assistance, tire assistance, medical assistance. The school secretariat, upon request, can book accommodation in nearby affiliated facilities. For 2017 the retail price of the True Adventure Offroad Academy courses is 200 euros, with your own motorbike, or 400 euros with a school motorbike. Overnight stay is not included in the price.
