An exhibition that highlights the technical and sporting path of the Japanese brand and beyond

Models of multiple typologies and with an iconic past are among the highlighted examples of the Hall Collection bound to Honda, Twin Ring Motegi. Kuniyoshi Iwata, technical director and manager of "Collection", underlines its contents and importance.

Passion and history

Among the examples, also considering other names and not just the creations of the Japanese company, there are also several projects that mark the motorcycle production from the end of the Years' 40 on. The first creations related to Soichiro Honda.
Kuniyoshi Iwata and the group of five mechanics, who make up the busy staff, as emerged “they love their job”. Among these we also note prestigious single-seaters, in a collection that includes overall 350 vehicles.
Iwata himself can ride several of the sports bikes present at low speed, during shakedown checks, before scheduled events. Among the models of Collection Hall, as has emerged, shows a predilection for the original Honda NSR500: “Because it's the first Grand Prix I've worked on as a mechanic”, he explained on the occasion. A model dating back to 1984 with specific features such as the tank below the engine and the exhausts above. A non-traditional approach, which gave the technicians the opportunity to experiment and obtain interesting data on the dynamism expressed by the chassis. While among the cars the historic pick-up stands out Honda T360 of the 1963, the first car made by the manufacturer. “I like the T360 because it was the first four-wheeled Honda on sale. I remember seeing a T360 delivering rice when I was a child. And I understand the philosophy that Soichiro Honda used in developing the car.", he said.
La Collection Hall It dates back to 1998, a dream come true of company founder Soichiro Honda and in recent times Iwata has been involved in the important event Honda Racing Thanks Day in November, with several specimens active on the well-known asphalt of Motegi. Among the most interesting models in the collection is Honda's first superbike, the historic one CB750, therefore the most representative motorbikes of the Years' 70, '80, '90 and of the last period, without forgetting the aforementioned NSR500 two halves until the winners RC211V, RC212V e RC213V, as mentioned.
