Honda CRF300L and CRF300 Rally: the new and advanced dual purpose [PHOTO]
Lower weight and greater power
A new chassis, suspensions with increased travel, a new engine with a larger displacement that transmits greater power and a reduced weight with full fuel tank are some of the aspects highlighted by the new honda crf300l e CRF300 Rally.
Versatile concepts
The appearance of the honda crf300l for 2021 it is slimmer, considering a 7,8 liter tank and also including a renewed LCD dashboard. A setting linked to a riding position that favors agility and maneuverability, noting a slightly further back handlebar and footrests located slightly further back and lower. While the saddle is placed a little higher, reaching 880 millimeters.
Moving on to CRF300 Rally, the weights inside the handlebars reduce vibrations and comfort even taking into account a covering on the footrests. LED directional indicators with flexible supports are indicated. Also highlighted is a petrol tank increased in capacity by 2,7 liters for a total of 12,8 litres. The saddle is then present at 885 mm, placed on rubber supports. A figure reduced by 10 mm compared to the value of the previous example.
Technology
Present a redefined semi-double cradle steel frame, just as the swingarm and lower steering plate are made of aluminium. Overall a weight reduction of 4kg. We also note interventions regarding the balance of rigidity, with greater lateral flexibility, refining the sensation of control. The steering geometry has also been redesigned and the suspensions have increased travel and greater ground clearance in any case. The travel is 10 mm higher in the front area and 20 mm at the rear considering the CRF300L, while it is 10 mm at the front and rear when talking about the CRF300 Rally.
Motor
Among the various updates, the increased engine displacement stands out, combined with a lighter chassis for a refinement of the power/weight ratio by 13%.
The displacement of the single-cylinder engine is 286 cc. A 4-valve twin-cam unit, liquid-cooled and Euro 5 approved. Generated a maximum power of 27,3 horses at 8.500 rpm and a maximum torque of 26,6 Nm at 6.500 rpm. Higher than the 24,8 horsepower and 22,6 Nm linked to the 250 cc engine. The clutch is of the assisted type with anti-slipping and the lever effort is reduced by 20%. Updates also for distribution and intake and exhaust systems, just as the gear ratios from 1st to 5th are shorter, unlike a longer 6th.
