BMW R nine T, Japan celebrates it with four models

BMW R NineT - I BMW Motorrad Days are the biggest BMW Motorrad event of all Japan and took place at the Hakuba47 Mountain Sports Park on 30-31 August 2014. Japanese fans were able to stroll through a wide range of exhibition stands, as well as attend the premiere of four BMW R Ninet motorcycles, each of which is the result of a personalized and unique conversion carried out by the most important Japanese customization companies.

He was there to do the honors Florian Renndorfer, head of BMW Motorrad Asia, Pacific, Middle East, China and South Africa, who wanted to immediately leave room for the sound of the engine and the beauty of the design of these four R Ninet customizations which dominated the event. Go Takamine (Brat Style), Kaichiroh Kurosu (Cherry's Company), Shiro Nakajima (46 Works) e Hideya Togashi (HIDE Motorcycle) have all accepted the challenge of transforming a BMW R Ninet into an individual creation of their own design in less than 200 days.

Go Takamine's creation named 'Cyclone' was greeted with thunderous applause and was introduced by world-famous stuntman Chris Pfeiffer. Takamine's interpretation of the R Ninet revealed an agile filigree character, crowned with an immaculate design, not to mention numerous chrome components. “This street bike is my attempt to combine the past with the near future, in the form of a modern motorcycle, currently hidden under a nostalgic exterior.”

La 'Highway Fighter' by Kaichiroh Kurosu is the result of a stylistic blend between the historical and current elements of BMW. Comparisons with the breathtaking beauty of the 7 BMW R1934 prototype are fully justified, even if Kurosu's creation is essentially a motorcycle that was made in modern production facilities with current styling. 'For me the object of the exercise was to look to the future. I imagined what a BMW motorcycle might look like in ten years' time and I believe it could still be a very fresh model, even if the traditional twin-cylinder boxer engine were to be replaced by an electric motor.'

On the contrary, Shiro Nakajima and his 'Clubman Racer' it was the result of a man's passion for motorcycles with perfect handling, both on the road and on the track. 'What I wanted was to create something a little sportier than a cafe racer, something that you can really enjoy on the track too. This was why I decided to make it as light as possible.'

La 'Boxer' by Hideya Togashi 'Boxer' is a timeless variant in a classic sporty design. Its fairing is reminiscent of racing replicas from the seventies, carrying forward both memories and aspirations among motorcycling enthusiasts. 'The main feature is its slim aluminum tank. It appears to hug the rider, while the fairing design is borrowed from that of nineteen seventy racing models'.
