BMW presents M1000XR. It is the third M model of the German brand and it is a long-distance sports motorcycle, that is, designed both for traveling and for having fun on the circuit. It is powered by a four-cylinder in-line engine with 201 horsepower and 113 Nm of maximum torque.

The quality characteristics

This is a model from dynamic look, typical of the M versions, with a distinctive front thanks to the new M winglets, designed as quadruple wings. The performance-oriented look is also reflected in the livery, with the bike's body in black combined with the M colors Light Blue, Dark Blue and Red. The suspension and chassis of the new M XR are based on the S 1000 upside down forks at the front with a stem diameter of 45 mm.

After the M 1000 RR and the M 1000 R, the new M XR is the third BMW motorcycle equipped with a M brake. Together with the two 320 mm brake discs with a thickness of 5 mm and the black anodized aluminum hubs, the braking system featuring a new radial master cylinder for the front brake currently represents the pinnacle of brake development in the field of brake systems. approved for road traffic. The instrument panel of the new M XR corresponds to the design of the M RR and also offers the M start-up animation.

The engine

The BMW M 1000 XR is powered by the aforementioned 201 HP inline four-cylinder engine, 31 HP more than the S 1000 XR, with a maximum torque of 113 Nm, reached at 11.000 rpm. The increase in pushing power of the rear wheel in all gears is also guaranteed by a shorter secondary gear ratio thanks to the use of a crown with 47 teeth.
