The 1000 BMW M 2024 XR will fit Continental Hypersport tires [PHOTO]

The new BMW M1000 XR he chose the most powerful Hypersport tire from Continental, ContiRaceAttack 2 Street, as original equipment. The supply of tires for one of the lightest and most dynamic production crossover motorcycles, which in the 2024 model offers a maximum output of 201 hp, marks the first partnership between the two brands for BMW Motorrad's M models in the hypersport tire segment. 

Versatile tyres, from country roads to racing tracks

The ContiRaceAttack 2 Street was developed for riders who want to combine track days with road experiences. To this end we are talking about a tire capable of performing in tight corners with precise handling, predictability at maximum lean angles and driving stability up to a maximum speed of over 275 km/h. These features make it the ideal fit for the new BMW M 1000 XR, a high-end crossover motorcycle for the highest demands. 

Supporting the potential of the 1000 BMW M 2024 XR on the road are a whole series of cutting-edge technologies that characterize the ContiRaceAttack 2 Street tire. Among these we find the mix BlackChili, which increases grip, efficiency and mileage, technology MultiGrip, which allows the use of a compound with different levels of homogeneous grip thanks to vulcanization at differentiated temperatures during the production process, the technology GripLimitFeedback of the carcass which increases the level of safety at more extreme lean angles, the 0° spiraling in ZeroDegree steel cable, and the tread pattern with a low negative proportion and a maximum proportion of slick on the shoulder of the tire which enhances performance at maximum lean angle. 

For the road and the track

The front tire of the new BMW M 1000 XR is available in size 120/70, while the rear wheel is equipped with one 200/55 tyre, both in combination with the standard 17-inch forged aluminum wheels and the optional M carbon wheels. The ContiRaceAttack 2 Street is also available for the rear in three additional tire widths: 180/55, 190/50 and 190/55. It can be driven with normal air pressure on country roads and with reduced air pressure on the track. The use of tire heaters is possible, but not mandatory. For even faster track laps, the ContiRaceAttack 2 Street can be combined with the ContiRaceAttack 2 soft/medium.
