BMW R 18: there are two versions

Going by what emerged online, there would be two versions of the wait BMW R 18, considering some patent drawings linked to different examples of the project.

The indiscretions

From the aforementioned drawings and according to what has emerged, the first example conceptually follows the cruiser prefigured by the Concept R 18. An essential layout with wide handlebars, low and welcoming saddle, generous wheelbase and highlighting the 1.8 "Big Boxer" engine, with long exhaust terminals “fishtail” which flank the sides of the bike, as on the other Concept R 18/2. In this case you can also see spoked circles.
While the second version cited on the occasion refers to the specimens excavator, with a slightly different layout, a voluminous front fairing, double lateral terminal, the presence of two rigid side compartments that recall one of the characteristics of the model To 1600 B and alloy wheels, always considering what is reported.
