It is the PR & Communication Coordinator BMW Motorrad Italia who tells us about the many new features present at the propeller manufacturer's stand. In addition to the Italian debut of the many models presented at Intermot in Cologne, there are two other aces up the sleeve that make BMW one of the queens of Eicma 2014, the new F800R and the S1000XR, a newly introduced model that expands the range.

BMW Motorrad – Eicma 2014: One of the biggest news of the Eicma 2014 show, if only for being one of the least anticipated and obvious, is right at the BMW stand. It's about the S1000XR, a maxi enduro with the 4-cylinder in-line engine of its very sporty sisters, derived from the RR, in this case in the declination from 160 hp already seen on the Roadster version. An important challenge, because as Andrea Frignani also confirms, none other than the Multistrada is in the sights from Ducati. Challenging it with a 4-cylinder bike is a good bet, we'll soon see if it's up to the task. New headlight and refinements for the engine instead concern the renewed F800R, which rises to 90 horsepower, and is confirmed as one of BMW's best workhorses, with an affordable price, but capable of bringing smiles to even the most experienced drivers. Even more so now thanks to traction control and ESA for the standard suspension. After Cologne the other novelties arrive in Italy, the new R1200R, which in addition to adopting the water/air cooled engine, twists the concept in a sporty way, renouncing the telelever. In addition to it, there is also the RS, which revives a much-loved BMW acronym. Also new is the S1000RR with 199 HP.
