BMW relies on the experience of Bosch in the field of eco-sustainable mobility and launches exclusively for the German market the first 1.000 units of its new Cruise e-Bike: the bicycle equipped with a Bosch electric motor with 250 watts of power and a range of approximately 70 km. The strength of the Bosch eBike system lies in the harmonious interaction of its three main components (on-board computer, lithium battery and Drive Unit), offering the cyclist a unique and non-invasive riding experience.

The Drive Unit, the heart of the system, supports pedaling immediately and constantly, coming into operation based on the muscular effort, slope and stress of the driver, and allows the maximum speed of 25 km/h to be reached. Compact, solid and silent, the Bosch Drive Unit requires no maintenance and is resistant to water, dust and shocks. The level of pedaling assistance can be adjusted at any time, according to your needs, by choosing between the four driving programs from the on-board computer: Eco Tour, Sport, Speed and Turbo. The e-Bike battery can be removed from its location for charging, thus ensuring the use of the bicycle even in the non-electric version.

Bosch's commitment to the environment is part of the mission of the German multinational and the protection of the environment and resources are central issues in the development of products and services in all business sectors. If BMW's new Cruise e-Bike is successful, it could also be offered to other European markets.
