Characterized by modern design, zero-emission traction and innovative solutions

BMW Motorrad presents BMW EC 02, a new electric vehicle designed for the city that debuts about two years later from the CE 04, pursuing its own electric mobility strategy. Rejecting the definitions of e-scooter and e-motorbike, BMW describes the CE 02 as a eParkourer which, by combining electric traction, modern design and innovative solutions, promotes a completely new mobility, capable of offering great driving fun in an urban environment.

Essential design

Aiming above all at younger people, the new BMW CE 02 aims to be an agile, practical and robust two-wheeled vehicle, with a minimal design reduced to the essentials. The motorcycle has two large wheels, which promise riding fun on many terrains, and black as the base color for the frame, front mudguard, wheels and handlebar plate fairing, which contrasts with the matt metallic granite gray of the handlebar cover. motor. In the special Highline version, the new CE 02 takes on an extroverted and colorful look, characterized by gold anodized forks and the "ribbon" design combined with the Petrol color.

Up to 95 km/h, reduced weight and autonomy over 90 km

BMW CE 02 in the 4 kW (5 HP) version limited to 45 km/h meets the requirements of the AM license and it can therefore be driven from the age of 14. The most powerful version is equipped with a 11 kW (15 hp) which allows her to reach one maximum speed of 95 km / h, in the face of adeclared autonomy of over 90 kilometers. The new CE 02 also focuses on easy handling thanks to the reduced weight of 132 kg, which drop to 119 kg for the 4 kW version, and to the reduced seat height of just 750 mm.

The new BMW CE 02 is equipped as standard with an external battery charger with a charging power of 0,9 kW which allows you to charge the motorbike by connecting it to a domestic socket. A 1,5 kW rapid battery charger is also available on request.

Rigid steel frame

As for the structure, the new BMW CE 02 relies on a rigid double ring frame in tubular steel. Telescopic forks with hydraulic damping operate at the front, while at the rear there is a single-sided swingarm and a direct pivot shock absorber. Wide tires are mounted on cast light alloy wheels with solid disc design, while disc brakes ensure safe deceleration of the front and rear. At the front there is BMW Motorrad ABS.
