BMW Motorrad USA, three models will no longer be produced in the States

2014 will be their last year of production

BMW Motorrad USA – BMW Motorrad USA has announced that will not renew in 2015 the line up of his scooter C600 Sports, of his adventure bike G650GS Sertão and his sportbike HP4. These models should still be available in other markets, while in the United States 2014 will be their last year of production.

The announcement comes as a bit of a surprise as all three discontinued models had received their certification, in reference to the year 2015, from the California Air Resources Board; on the other hand, however, BMW is discontinuing the production of these models goes to eliminate some overlaps in its overseas line ups. The "race and dynamic" updates, as they were defined in the States, which featured the new S1000RR, for example, they brought it close to the specifications of the HP4, indeed perhaps the new upgrade is gone even to improve it compared to the BMW sportbike.

The production stop of the BMW C600 Sport will thus leave the C650GT all only in the category of scooters made in the USA, while in Europe BMW will still offer both, along with the new-for-2014 electric scooter C Evolution, agile and easy to handle despite its 270 kg weight. The C650GT it is a BMW maxiscooter ideal for those who love touring, and not just for traveling in the city, and will return to dealerships in the United States of America with a surcharge of around 500 dollars, thus bringing it up to dollars 10.490 for those who want to take home for the entry level package. The same reasoning should be made for the BMW G650GS Sertão, which will be presented in 2015 with a price increase of 45 dollars with a total cost, in the basic package, equal to 7.895 dollars.
