EICMA 2017 Kawasaki ZX-10 R SE – In the hands of Jonathan Rea, the Ninja ZX-10 RR won the SBK world championship, but the new ZX-10R SE aims to make enthusiasts experience the same sensations, or almost the same, as the British rider thanks to the new electronic suspensions.

But let's go in order. The Ninja ZX-10R SE fits into the 1000 super sports segment, between the standard model and the RR.

The new motorcycle combines comfort with performance. On the one hand, the engine and chassis are directly derived from the RR version. A 4 cm^998 3-cylinder engine, capable of generating 200 HP at 13.000 rpm, and a torque of 113,5 Nm at 11.500 rpm.

The great revolution of the ZX-10R SE is found in the suspension, in fact, the new "verdona" is equipped with an electronic adjustment system, called KECS. The system, mounted on both the front and rear, adapts in real time to road conditions, and always guarantees maximum grip, even on the track. The damping, electronically regulated, acts on various occasions, such as during deceleration, controlling the pitch of the bike, and acts via a solenoid valve, capable of reacting to changes in just 1 millisecond. Everything is obviously managed by sensors that interact directly with the ECU which acts accordingly in a very short time. Everything can be managed by the motorcyclist who can choose between three modes: road, track and manual. The first two are quite clear, while the manual setting depends on the needs of the user, who will be able to choose 15 levels of compression and rebound adjustment.

Other innovations compared to the standard model are: Marchesini wheels, 7-spoke multidirectional forged aluminum rims, KQS (Kawasaki quick shifter), which allows shifting to higher and lower gears without touching the clutch.

The new Ninja ZX-10R SE will be available in Metallic Flat Spark Black (black) and Metallic Matte Graphite Gray (grey) colors.
