Among the models a new AK 550 ST

Kymco introduced several new models on the occasion of EICMA, the International Two Wheel Exhibition. Among these we highlight a new AK 550 ST, a Sport Touring version, as well as the innovative electric overview.

Kymco DINK

Starting from the most compact displacements, the GT scooter Kymco Dink it is a compact example designed to move around metropolitan areas. A practical model considering a wide, low-to-the-ground saddle, with an under-seat compartment that can accommodate two helmets, one of which is full-face, and a second load compartment in the front tunnel. Also noteworthy are a USB socket protected by a magnetic cover in the central area of ​​the handlebars and three-dial digital instrumentation set up for the Kymco Noodoe navigation and interaction system.
Features 13-inch wheels with petal disc brakes and ABS as standard, 125 4-stroke air-cooled injection engine 11,5 horses (8,5 kW) which promises low consumption, based on the indications.

Kymco Agility Plus S 125 and 200

The high-wheeled Agility is one of the manufacturer's best-known examples and after 16 years a renewed and sportier version arrives
The new Kymco Agility Plus S, a letter that underlines its sportiness, is characterized by solutions that facilitate comfort and low management costs.
The style has evolved thanks to the symbiosis between smooth and unpainted plastics. The front headlight is new with full LED lights and in the winged area there are also two luminous signatures, the depth lights near the front wheel and the directional indicators on the sides. The shield remains slim and shaped and in the counter shield there is a second USB socket. Furthermore, the setting of the sides has also been redefined, which directs the air flows away from the driver, as indicated. The rear area is also distinctive, featuring a refined headlight unit with motorcycle-style arrows separated from the headlight body.
The instrumentation has also been renewed with the adoption of a modern LCD display, made up of two dials and warning lights located in the upper part of the dashboard. The chassis, suspension and double disc braking system with dual channel ABS remain unchanged on the 125 too.
Also highlighted is a flat and habitable footboard, a saddle that is 78 cm low from the ground and can accommodate two people with a larger under-seat compartment which has two removable dividing panels and contains a charging socket, and therefore the wheels of different diameters of 16 inches in the front area and 14 inches in the rear with split-spoke wheels with an exclusive design.
It features a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, injection, air-cooled engine. A Euro 5 approved unit. The power on the 125 increases by almost 2 horsepower compared to the current Agility Plus, reaching 10,4 horses.
The Agility Plus S range includes 3 models: 50, 125 and 200. The arrival is reported for spring 2022.
Furthermore, remaining on the Agility, we also note the renewal of the larger model with an increased displacement: theAgility +350 features a 5 cc 321-valve G4 SC engine, the one found on the DTX 360.

Electric range I Onex

The electric proposal is also interesting iOnex developed by Kymco, an overview equipped with an advanced compact lithium battery.
The working specimen Kymco Agility Carry EV it starts from the petrol version with the same load space on the flat platform and large roof rack, but features a 2 kW electric engine powered by an iOnex battery under the saddle. Up to 50 km of autonomy are reported (according to WMTC cycle) and can be replaced in a very short time.
ion e iOne they are two other compact and low-weight examples, L1 approved and always characterized by a flat footboard and a low saddle, as well as having an under-seat compartment with a slot for the battery and space for a helmet. I-One X has a 2 kW motor in the rear wheel hub and a reported range of 60 km; instead I-One has a 3,6 kW central electric unit and the indicated autonomy is 52 km.
As you level up with an L3e approval you encounter i Super 6 and Super 7, the first with a 6,4 kW rear wheel drive unit, while on the Super 7 the engine is central 7,2 kW. The reported autonomy in any case exceeds 100 km given a double removable battery under the saddle, leaving room for a helmet.
Finally the Super 9, the sporty electric scooter with a 10 kW electric engine linked to lithium ion batteries integrated into the frame, which offers a range of 140 km calculated in the NEDC cycle. The weight is 110 kg and the maximum speed is over 100 km/h.

Kymco Xciting 400 S MY 2023

Also introduced is the 2023 model yearXciting 400 S, the most equipped of the Xciting range, changed from a stylistic point of view in the front area and with renewed instrumentation. The super sporty GT features with Kymco Noodoe navigation system, double front disc, TCS traction control and a 400 G5 SC engine with around 34 horsepower remain unchanged.

Kymco AK 550 ST

The new ST version, i.e. Sport Touring, will join the AK 2022 model from 550. The arrival is expected for the first half of next year. A new variant designed for those who love to travel and who prefer the functionality of a maxi scooter. Model AK 550 ST it features a new profile of the shield to further protect during long journeys and a higher electric windshield that is adjustable via two buttons combined with the handlebar.
The instrumentation has been renewed and still consists of 3 digital dials. The circular central display still includes the sophisticated Kymco Noodoe navigation and entertainment system, which allows connection to your smartphone. The controls have also been updated, the handlebar button blocks have been redefined to manage the new functions. Starting is always with a smart key but the control rotor disappears and is replaced by a central "click and go" ignition button that unlocks the electric steering lock. The old options linked to the knob selector are replaced by practical separate buttons on the back of the shield.
However, the heated grips and the technical basis of the AK 550 are confirmed. The chassis is made up of an aluminum frame to which the engine is centrally fixed with a combined 41 mm double-plate hydraulic telescopic fork at the front and a single-sided swingarm swinging aluminum rear. The engine is a 550 cc horizontal twin-cylinder with 8 valves, the power developed reaches i 51 horses allowing you to exceed 160 kilometers per hour.
The accelerator features an ETS control system, Electronic Throttle System, or equally known as Ride by Wire, used to manage the new TCS traction control which debuts together with Cruise control. The final transmission features a new belt to refine the qualities of the vehicle.
