KTM 990 Duke 2024: the evolution of the naked at EICMA 2023 [PHOTO]

Couldn't miss it too KTM to the 2023 edition of EICMA, which will remain open until Sunday 12th at Rho Fiera Milano. The Austrian brand brought the 990 Duke 2024 to the Lombardy event, as an absolute preview. A new naked, with a focus on performance, to celebrate 30 years of the Duke range.

The quality characteristics

A motorbike with taut and clear lines, reaching towards the front wheel, where the Electronic Orange shade, created precisely to celebrate this important anniversary. The new LED headlight is in the foreground at the front, with the position lights and DRLs set in the profile of the lighting body.

Compared to 890 Duke, the steel trellis frame has been laterally stiffened by 8% and the torsional resistance has been increased by 5%. Also new is the closed-grid aluminum swingarm, while on a technological level we find the 5 inch TFT dashboard with rounded glass, to have all the information while in the saddle. There is also a USB-C socket.

The engine

The KTM 990 Duke is a performance-focused motorcycle and is powered by 947cc engine, with a power of 123 HP and a maximum torque of 103 Nm. New pistons, new connecting rods and a new crankshaft have been adopted, with a total weight of only 179 kilograms.

Furthermore, the motorcycle is equipped with a complete technological suite, which provides 3 standard riding modes and 2 optional riding modes Performance and Track. The ABS can also be set in Supermoto mode and this allows you to ride with the anti-lock system active on the front wheel only.

Dismissal

This new naked will be available at dealerships from next month January, price yet to be announced.
