Kawasaki: the new Ninja ZX6R arriving in 2019
In addition to the track, the 2019 model was designed for daily use and for some out-of-town trips
Kawasaki – 2019 will be a very important year for Kawasaki which will launch the new one on the market Ninja ZX6R, a motorbike that promises to bring all the experience gained in the world of racing to the road because the track, it should be remembered, remains one of the perfect terrains of the "Verdona".
Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R: all the news
Powering this super sports car is the legendary 636 cc liquid-cooled engine which now comes with a new weight distribution, all managed by the KQS quick shifter. The engine promises to give more torque even at low revs, making the ZX6R more exploitable even on everyday journeys as well as around curves. The updates made also ensure compliance with Euro 4 regulations. In addition to a revised and improved clutch, the new Kawasaki has also been equipped with a convenient 12V socket, for connecting, for example, the navigator. A detail that only appears superficial because, in reality, it demonstrates the vocation for very wide use of this model, designed both for use on the track and for weekend trips.
The Ninja ZX6R also features KTRC traction control, Kawasaki's exclusive Intelligent Anti-lock Braking System (KIBS) and a two-level power delivery selector. The frame works great, also thanks to the popular Showa BFF front fork. The driving position is sporty but comfortable, in short, very versatile. The gear shift indicator is an extra help for those approaching this type of motorcycle for the first time. The brake calipers are monobloc and Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 tires are standard. The accessories include the Ohlins steering damper and the color coded seat cover. At first glance, the headlight unit with two large LED headlights and a tail with an aggressive look thanks to the precise and angular lines are striking. Now all you have to do is touch it: it applies to you, but also to us.
