Kawasaki KX450 and KX450X: the new cross models presented for the 2024 season [PHOTO]

The 2024 of Kawasaki KX450 it includes new features regarding the chassis and superstructures, together with a new engine with symmetrically aligned intake and exhaust, which favors more accentuated performance. An overall evolution five years later of the KX450, protagonist of the 450 cc category.

The models

The new green-covered plastics offer refined ergonomics, considering a more fluid interface with the rider. From a technological point of view the models KX450 e 450 KX2024X they are equipped for the first time with Power Mode and Kawasaki Traction Control, which can be activated via the switches on the left side of the handlebar.
According to the indications, it is possible to choose between two engine maps, a normal one and a "softened" one, present in the ECU, using the Mode button (M) on the left of the handlebar.

Two levels of traction control can then be selected, with a different state of intervention, based on the track conditions and the driver's choices. Furthermore, the system can also be deactivated, as highlighted on this occasion. Another aspect highlighted is the use of the "RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX" application, directly connecting the smartphone to the bike, managing the engine mapping and also being able to intervene on advance and injection. Maintenance logs are also accessible.
Moving on to driving, there is mention of handling favored by greater confidence with the front, which enhances cornering performance, combined with lightness and straight-line stability. Updates and firsts on a KX model include ODI Lock-on grips and Brembo braking components.
