EICMA 2016 – Eicma confirms itself as the most important exhibition dedicated to two wheels in the world, a point of reference without equal, not only for the presence of the public, number of exhibitors and operators but also from a media point of view, considering the truly important results obtained in the The 2016 edition of the International Cycle and Motorcycle Exhibition, held at the Rho-Milan Fair from 8 to 13 November 2016.

The public and exhibitors

In addition to the significant increase in the number of exhibitors present at Eicma which, between direct and indirect, stood at 1143, with a +8,55% compared to 2014, the year of the last edition coinciding with other fairs, operators have also grown by 24% compared to two years ago as has the public, whose turnout recorded a growth of +9,38% in the 2016 Eicma edition.

Social and Apps

The most impactful boom of Eicma 2016 was the one found on social and digital channels. In the period from 7 to 13 November 2016, practically only during the days of the Show, 12.021.456 unique users visited the contents of the Eicma Facebook page (+104,27% compared to the 2015 edition); 705.671 unique users who interacted with the contents of the FB page (+64,94% compared to 2015); 25.537.396 the number of times any content on the page was shown to someone (+47% compared to 2015); 6.708.891 unique users who saw a post published on the page (+182,07% compared to 2015); 759.550 specific views of the video content published (+306,02% compared to 2015). In 6 days of the Fair, 58 videos were uploaded to the Eicma YouTube channel. In total there were 49.909 views for a total of 75.600 minutes watched.
Finally, success was also achieved for the new EicmaLive app, which was downloaded by 17.500 users during the event.

Print and Web

A leap forward also for the printed press which produced a +29% of publications relating to Eicma in national newspapers and periodicals, with 561 articles in 2016 compared to 434 in 2015. In detail, over 60% of the articles - 340 in total – comes from the national press while the rest concerns newspapers with local or regional circulation. Most of the news, naturally, involved the vast world of the Web, which produced a total of 3.321 articles regarding Eicma 2016: in this case too there was a notable increase in media coverage for Eicma, given that last year approximately 2.358 articles were published online regarding the International Cycle and Motorcycle Exhibition, or almost a thousand less, with an increase of 40,8%. As regards the website www.eicma.it, completely redesigned for this year's edition, during the month of September 2016, the users were distributed as follows: 21.218 registered users, 1.732.080 total views (+84,20 % compared to the 2015 edition).

TVs and televisions

Eicma 2016 therefore recorded a big leap forward from the point of view of media presence, which this year saw the International Cycle and Motorcycle Exhibition present in a truly massive manner on all the main information channels. As regards TV, Eicma 2016 includes dedicated television services, which even recorded an increase of 48,65% compared to 2015: this year, in fact, there were 165 television reports focused on the Eicma in Milan compared to 111 last year. Specifically, 139 national TV channels broadcast reports or specials on Eicma 2016 and the many new features present at the International Cycle and Motorcycle Exhibition in Milan.
