Shown by BMW Motorrad Canada three creations. The outcome of a customization project involving the specimen BMW R 18. Three different expressions of personality, starting from the Bavarian custom note.

The news

There are three Canadian specialists whose collaboration has resulted in three interpretations of the BMW R 18. They are Jay Donovan from Victoria, British Columbia; Konquer Motorcycles of Kelowna, also in British Columbia and Augment Motorworks of Toronto, Ontario. The bikes were shown by the tuners to BMW Motorrad Canada and to Roland Stocker, BMW Motorrad Project Manager for Heritage models.
The only requirements for these creations were operability and the fact that the motorcycles continued to be compliant with standards for road use. The three bikes will be included in a dealer tour in various locations in Canada, as reported.

La R 18 Future Café by Jay Donovan represents a study in the use of metal. A design that came to life with the intent of redirecting the exhaust up, over the cylinder head and back, finishing underneath the seat. Also highlighted is a completely redefined tank and an upper section in exposed polished aluminium, as well as front and rear fenders cut in contrasting black, for an extended and refined look.

La R 18 Tattooed Chopper by Augment Motorworks is the result of the work carried out by Nick Acosta of Augment Motorworks in interpreting the classic style of the American chopper, but associated with the muscular shapes of the German custom, nicknamed in this case "El Boxeador". The paint job is livened up with a tattoo theme, paired with a sissy bar, hand-carved headlight mount, a raised handlebar, a custom seat and shaker exhaust.

La R 18 Diamond Custom by Konquer Motorcycles is the work of Rob Thiessen and his team at Konquer Motorcycles, who shaped a custom dragster starting from the R 18. Note the gold-painted BMW roundels and an electronically adjustable exhaust.
The appearance is in metallic bronze color and features modified front and rear fenders, a distinctive diamond pattern and a customized saddle.

The classic design and characteristic proportions of the BMW R 18 they represent an ideal basis for customization. The heart of the project remains the twin-cylinder engine 1.802 cc “Big Boxers”.
