BMW Motorrad GS Academy: a new formula for the historic off-road driving school

GS Academy di BMW Motorrad Since 2007 he has been guiding two-wheel enthusiasts who are interested in learning the techniques of off-road driving, through specific courses to improve their confidence on the most demanding routes. This year the initiative changes into a proposal that not only includes the driving course, but also experiences on the saddle BMW Motorrad GS examples, adaptable based on the levels and expectations of those who take part in the event BMW Motorrad GS Academy.

Directions, calendar and prices can be consulted on the website linked to the initiative. The various aspects and maximum safety are managed by a high-level team made up of certified federal instructors. Furthermore, the motorcycle fleet includes the entire range of GS models, from the compact BMW G310GS to the powerful BMW R 1250 GS.
A personalized approach to allow anyone interested to approach off-roading, from two-wheel enthusiasts who want to safely tackle a dirt road route, to the more experienced who wish to hone their skills.
The basis is the G.S. Farm, an estate at the foot of the Piacenza hills near Tavernago. An area dedicated to the GS panorama and suitable for motorbike enthusiasts, including off-road routes and suggestive scenery.
GS Academy evolves as mentioned from a dedicated driving course to a set of experiences, always taking care of the educational aspect and safety. From this year there are also courses on a closed circuit for those who, despite having the prerequisites, have never ridden a motorcycle and do not have a driving licence, but still want to begin to better understand the panorama of two wheels in safety and with a functional approach, as indicated.
Moving on to the experiences, these are developed across a large part of Italy, through the collaboration of the official dealers of the BMW Motorrad network and through organized trips.


They are listed five GS Academy experiences:

- Welcome Rider, aimed at new enthusiasts who are approaching two wheels;
- GS Training, suitable for those who want to learn to go off-road;
- GS For You, it is a totally tailor-made off-road experience;
- GS Experience, an adventurous multi-day trip;
- GS Adventure Touring, for those who want to be accompanied in the most famous off-road events in Italy.
