Beta – Last weekend the Spanish GP and the city of Santiago de Compostela, famous for its spiritual journey, hosted the second stage of World Enduro Championship.

Il Day 1 it had several pitfalls due to the lot of water that fell on the ground in the days preceding the race which forced ours Steve Holcombe to lose nine positions, from the first one it occupied, and then to recover until reaching the final sixth place overall and second in the E3 class. Day 2 clearly better and under a lucky star for the English driver who ran the second day of the race as a true star despite the bad weather and heavy rain that hit the Spanish city. In the twelve special tests held, Steve Holcombe recorded five absolute best times, thus going on to win the Enduro GP and the E3 class. In the provisional ranking he currently occupies second position in the Enduro GP and first place in the E3 class.

Saturday Christopher Charlier he could have finished his race on the podium but an error at the time control cost him a few minutes of delay. Also on Sunday Christophe Charlier alternated excellent times in the special tests with misfortunes along the route which penalized him: a post stuck in the rear wheel and a motorbike stuck on tree trunks blocking his passage in the penultimate Extreme caused him to lose precious seconds at end of the race. Team Beta Boano achieved 4 podiums with Brad Freeman – 2 times second in E1 – and Matteo Cavallo 1st and 3rd in Enduro Junior. The next appointment is scheduled for this weekend, from 4 to 6 May, in Castelo Branco in Portugal where the third round of the Enduro GP will take place.

"Saturday didn't go well. It's a shame, because I was fighting for first place but races are like that: sometimes everything goes well while other times due to some trivial problem you lose points in the standings – said Steve Holcombe -. On Sunday, however, everything went well despite the bad weather. I started slowly on the first lap because I wanted to understand the conditions of the three special tests and once I got the hang of it I started pushing and went on to win.". "In this race weekend I made some very important steps forward, on Saturday I almost won the Enduro GP if it hadn't been for the penalty on Friday night – the comment by Christophe Charlier -. Although the results on paper were not excellent, I am very happy with the feeling with the bike, we worked well with the team and now I am finally satisfied. Too bad about the inconvenience of the peg caught in the rear wheel on Sunday which clearly made me lose precious seconds, now we focus on the next weekend in Portugal".
