The main frame is refined and features a steel beam assembly to accommodate the sophisticated Leaning Multi Wheel Technology, as well as a tubular steel frame and die-cast aluminum rear brackets.

The progressive system includes a new ratio which, together with the revised hydraulic adjustments of the rear shock absorber and the spring which is characterized by a smaller diameter, supports a smooth ride and consistent performance.
The 15-inch front radial tires have been specifically developed to meet the specific needs of the LMW steering assembly. The 120/17R15 and 190/55R17 sizes foreshadow stability and handling, keeping in mind the Yamaha LMW system.

The engine features an increase in capacity of approximately 5%. An 890 cc heart whose architecture is similar to that of the engine linked to the MT-09 and Tracer 9 models: three in-line cylinders and 12 valves.
