Technology

The attention to the riding position emerges by noticing the wider handlebars 23 millimeters with ends closer to the torso, to increase control and also favor a more relaxing position, as well as the profile of the saddle present at a height of 810 mm. Attention was also paid to reducing vibrations. The tank can hold 19 liters and the development appears tapered in the area close to the legs, further facilitating interaction with the vehicle.
The frame has a double aluminum beam to which the steering head and the swingarm pivot are associated, taken from the GSX-R1000 example. The suspensions are adjustable and have a calibration studied, taking into account the adoption of new Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 radial tyres, made with a specific carcass for the GSX-S1000GT with High Elongation Steel Jointless Belt technology. The braking system includes a double disc at the front and a single one at the rear. The curb weight amounts to 226 kg.

Technology

The motorcycle is equipped with an instrument panel TFT LCD in color from 6,5 inches that can interact with mobile devices. Through the Suzuki mySPIN application and the controls located on the left electrical block, it is possible to access various functions even while driving.
Among the aspects highlighted there is also the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) with integrated management of various solutions to support the motorcyclist.
The system also appears in this grouping “Cambiarapido” – Bi-directional Quick Shift System, which allows you to advance or downshift without using the clutch, in addition to the devices Suzuki Easy Start e Low RPM assist to support ignition and starts.
An electronic accelerator is also highlighted ride-by-wire in symbiosis with the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), through which it is possible to choose between three driving modes, an adjustment of Suzuki Traction Control System on five intervention levels that can be deactivated and a cruise control.

Engine and delivery

The new Suzuki GSX-S1000GT it is related from a technical point of view to the GSX-R family and the engine recalls this link. A heart compliant with the Euro 5 regulation that transmits consistent liveliness, thanks to the development work and interventions regarding the throttle bodies, the profile of the camshafts, the air filter box and also the exhaust system. The power reaches altitude 152 horses (112 kW) at 11.000 rpm and the torque peak is 106 Nm at 9.250 rpm. Furthermore the slipper clutch is assisted with the introduction of the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS), which reduces the effort needed to act on the lever.

Proposal

The model can be ordered from Suzuki dealers and first deliveries are proposed for November. The accessories catalog allows you to customize the specimen according to your needs. As mentioned, there are three colors available and the indicated price is 15.890 euros, including VAT.
The new Suzuki GSX-S1000GT is offered with a set of matching travel bags and with an official extended four-year warranty, as indicated.
