Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Djebel: the adrenaline of off-road adventure [PHOTO and VIDEO]

La Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Djebel, the new Sport Enduro Tourer from the Japanese company, is the protagonist of an emotional video that highlights the Suzuki heritage and the off-road features of the new bike.

Evoking the origins that lead back to 1984, when Suzuki presented its single-cylinder enduro DR 600 S in the Djebel version dedicated to adventure, with a clear reference to the Paris-Dakar and the mountains of the African deserts, the new Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Djebel offers the same attitude and graphics as its ancestor from 40 years ago.

The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Djebel, presented at the Motor Bike Expo 2024 and available until June 30, 2024 only on the Suzuki web store at price of 13.900 €, is characterized by a series of specifications aimed at off-road. Compared to the standard model, the Djebel version is enriched with Akrapovic exhaust pipe, Dunlop Trailmax Raid tires and an aggressive look with DR 650 R Djebel graphics made entirely in paint. 

Compact engine and off-road vocation

The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Djebel shares chassis, engine and electronic equipment with the standard version. On Hamamatsu's motorbike we therefore find the 776 cc parallel twin engine with 84,3 CV of power e 78 Nm of maximum torque. The innovative system is combined with the engine Suzuki cross balancer which reduces vibrations, while to better manage performance there is the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System which allows you to access Suzuki Drive Mode Selector with three engine maps. 

Off-road-friendly chassis

In addition to advanced and advanced electronic equipment, the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Djebel can count on a chassis designed for off-road use, with a steel tube frame, fully adjustable Hitachi Astemo (Showa) front suspension with a travel of 220 mm and adjustable rear suspension that allows you to act on the preload. Also dedicated to off-road are the spoked rims measuring 21 inches with 90/90 tires at the front and 17 inches with 150/70 tires at the rear. The ground clearance is 220 mm whilst keeping the seat height from the ground to 855 mm.

The bike has a curb weight of 230 kg. To complete the equipment of the V-Strom 800DE Djebel there are LED headlights, a three-position adjustable windscreen, a USB port and a 12 V socket, while the electronic functions and driving information are managed through the TFT LCD multifunction display coloured.
