Piaggio – The strengthening of the distribution network of the Piaggio Group's multi-brand stores launched only two years ago continues rapidly. In just a few months the Group has in fact inaugurated 60 new points of sale. Piaggio closed 2016 by reaching the important milestone of 200 Motoplexes opened in the world in Europe, the Americas, Oceania, Asia and the Indian sub-continent, which complement the distribution network traditional.

Among the main Motoplexes inaugurated in recent months are the English ones in London and Liverpool, the one in the Austrian capital Vienna, and again in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon, in the German city of Stuttgart, in Toulon on the French Riviera. In Australia a Motoplex was opened in Sydney, while in Asia we note the openings in Taipei - capital of Taiwan -, in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Bali, in Port Louis - capital of Mauritius - and finally that of Ho Chi Minh city , in Vietnam.

One of the most important Motoplexes in the world is also expected to open in Bangkok in the next few days. The one in the Thai capital will be a flagship store of almost 1.000 square metres, divided between the exhibition area (including lounge area and bar) and workshop, in a ratio of 70/30. Thanks to the Motoplex in Bangkok, the Piaggio Group will expand its offering on the Thai market by introducing the motorcycle business with the Aprilia and Moto Guzzi brands, which will join the consolidated segment of Piaggio and Vespa scooters, and will thus be able to further strengthen itself in a rapidly growing market. expansion, increasing its focus on the Asian continent.

The Motoplexes offer a total of the Group's prestigious brands (Piaggio, Vespa, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi), representing a completely innovative multi-brand flagship store formula, in line with the new global in-store experience strategy that the Piaggio Group is developing in the main metropolitan areas around the world. Motoplex is in fact a store concept projected towards the future, which allows the dealer to exploit multiple brands and products within the same space in a new retail frontier in the motorcycle industry: the Motoplexes are designed to offer their customers an engaging perspective of the world of two wheels in a space where, in addition to the vehicles and related accessories, they can find dedicated merchandising, in many cases the workshop, and spend a moment of entertainment and fun in the corner bar and lounge, where you can discuss, for example, races or plan upcoming motorbike rides.
