Compact and modern, futuristic and ecological, the new Smart e-Scooter also makes its debut at Motor Show 2010, in Bologna, which will close tomorrow, 12 December, after the official presentation which took place last October at Paris Motor Show 2010. In Emilia Romagna, the Daimler car manufacturer puts the eco-friendly small car side by side Smart ForTwo Electric Drive and the new two-wheeled vehicle, e-Scooters, designed for the mobility of tomorrow, respectful of Madame Mother Nature: the two vehicles share the two-tone white and green color.

We have already described it, I know, but it is good to remember the technical specifications. The new Smart e-Scooter comes equipped with a electric motor of 4 kW, which is powered by a lithium ion battery, installed under the motorcycle footboard. Recharging energy, once the reserve is exhausted, can take place thanks to a traditional 220 Volt socket and will require a period of time between three and five hours of connection. The maximum speed that the e-Scooter can reach – assures the car manufacturer Smart – is equal to 45 kilometers per hour and the travel autonomy that the battery will guarantee is equal to one hundred kilometers.

The habit of producing cars is felt: the new Smart e-Scooter it will be equipped with the possibility of connecting smartphones, in the same way as the infotainment systems of the most modern cars, and a safety device ABS, airbag for the driver and Blind Spot Assist, the system that monitors the blind spot of the external rear-view mirrors.
