KTM 890 Duke R: an even more aggressive appearance for 2022 [PHOTO]

Three riding modes as standard

The specimen of KTM 890 Duke R for the 2022 is introduced with an opaque color “Atlantic Blue”, which recalls the scheme present on the fairings of the KTM RC16 engaged in MotoGP and on the KTM 1290 Super Duke R. The orange frame is highlighted, a connotative aspect of the KTM "R" logo, in an interesting contrast that underlines the character of each sporting specimen.

Also known with the expression “The Super Scalpel” (the super scalpel), considering agility and precision when cornering; this example is characterized by a chassis that takes shape around a tubular steel frame, to which adjustable WP APEX suspensions are attached. The braking system includes Brembo Stylema® monobloc front calipers alongside discs 320 millimeters and a Brembo MCS adjustable master cylinder. The model wears functional Michelin Power Cup 2 tires on all types of asphalt.
Also in this case, various PowerParts are available, developed to enhance the aesthetics and performance of the model. Then there are some items from the PowerWear collection.

The bike features a varied electronic package, including solutions such as Cornering ABS and Traction Control. Management is reserved for a 6D inertial platform which captures various parameters for traction control management, thanks to the use of two sensors, one of which focuses on wheel slip and the other on pitch angle control.
Three riding modes listed: Rain , Street e Sport. A fourth mode can also be purchased Track, which allows customization of traction control intervention on nine levels, anti-wheelie and ride-by-wire accelerator control response. The power reaches i 121 horses and the couple arrives at 99 Nm.

Proposal

Available at KTM dealers from the end of February, the KTM 890 Duke R for 2022 is sold at 12.490 euros fc, as reported.
