KTM 1290 Super Duke GT: a strong character on long journeys [VIDEO]

Dynamism and technological functionality are the aspects that emerge when observing a film proposed by KTM on YouTube starring the new one KTM 1290 Super Duke GT. A Sport Tourer with interesting solutions.

The specialised farming model

Aesthetically it partly resembles the powerful naked, despite having a distinctive style. Developed by SYGIC®, this system can also interact offline allowing you to plan itineraries and the NAVIGATION function uses maps in standard format, for example selecting one of the pre-set destinations directly from the screen, then carrying out an advanced search or reporting points of interest. It also allows you to bypass a point on the route, being able to recalculate the route by finding another available road to get to the selected point, furthermore the last ten destinations are automatically saved and made available for selection.
Then adopted gods new rims with sporty spoke design, the same ones noted on the naked KTM 1290 Super Duke R and the weight of the unsprung masses is reduced by one kilogram compared to the wheels present previously. These are paired with Continental ContiSportAttack 4 tyres.

Technical aspects

The engine, compliant with Euro 5, it's a twin cylinder to V from 1.301 cc. A power that touches i is indicated 175 horses and a couple that reaches 141 Nm.
The bike is equipped with semi-active WP APEX suspensions which act with a dedicated logic, given a preload adjustment of the mono-shock absorber based on the needs of a Sport Tourer example. The algorithm allows the motorcyclist to control the suspension according to four references: Rider; Pilot and Passenger; Pilot and Baggage; Pilot, Passenger and Baggage. An anti-dive function is also included as standard.
Also highlighted is a ABS cornering and riding modes Street, Sport e Rain , to which the optional Performance mode can be added. A paid Tech Pach software is also offered.
