Dl Aiuti, ANCMA: dissatisfaction with potential reduction of resources for road safety projects
The most drastic comment
Confindustria ANCMA (National Association of Cycle and Motorcycle Accessories) expressed its opinion in a note regarding the Aid Decree, highlighting "dissatisfaction" in learning that "an article of the Aid Decree will allow Local Authorities to divert the proceeds of the fines provided for by the Highway Code intended for the promotion of road safety for the payment of energy bills".
The note
As indicated by Confindustria ANCMA in the press release released: “We learn with dissatisfaction that an article of the Aid Decree will allow Local Authorities to divert the proceeds of the fines provided for by the Highway Code intended for the promotion of road safety for the payment of energy bills. While sharing the emergency and the economic difficulties, protecting the lives of cyclists and motorcyclists is not an alternative to high bills. From this provision emerges the prospect of a potential and further reduction of resources for road safety projects, which also include the creation of cycle paths, asphalt maintenance and lighting. Faced with the number of victims still recorded in Italy, the injuries, the health and social costs of road accidents, the association expresses concern and hopes that the article can be modified".
