Yamaha YZF-R125 2019: even faster and more precise

The new engine is able to guarantee sharper acceleration, more power and improved stability

Its aggressive look, inspired by the YZF-R1, includes a bold, aerodynamic fairing and MotoGP-derived instrumentation

Yamaha YZF-R125 – Exactly twenty years after the release of the first YZF-R1, Yamaha rewrites the history of small displacement motorcycles by launching the new one YZF-R125 which presents itself as an advanced engine, capable of guaranteeing sharper acceleration, more power and improved stability. Its aggressive look, inspired by the YZF-R1, includes a bold, aerodynamic fairing and MotoGP-derived instrumentation.

Yamaha YZF-R125: under the fairing there is a completely new heart

The 2019 edition of the Yamaha YZF-R125 features a liquid-cooled 4-valve engine that has been completely redesigned to obtain more torque and a wider and more linear delivery band, while also containing consumption.
One of the most significant technological components is the variable valve actuation (VVA) system which optimizes the position of the valves in relation to the number of engine revolutions, also to obtain stronger acceleration from low to medium speeds, together with more brilliant performance at high rpm.
The new engine also benefits from electronic injection, redesigned and equipped with a more generous throttle body which gives a feeling of greater progressiveness, improving power delivery management. There is also an advanced cooling system that reduces warm-up times and improves cooling efficiency at high engine temperatures. The higher efficiency allows you to adopt a larger radiator
light and compact.

Yamaha YZF-R125: the news isn't over

The new Yamaha YZF-R125 is equipped with a sophisticated frame and is now equipped with a new design aluminum swingarm, which adapts perfectly to the different dimensions of the new frame. Made by Yamaha with advanced casting technology, the swingarm is shorter and ensures optimal rigidity, reducing unsprung weights for a sporty, agile and comfortable ride. The slipper clutch is also new, for precise and comfortable driving. Aesthetically, the 125 from the house of the three tuning forks presents itself with a decidedly aggressive appearance and evidently inspired by the world of racing. The two new LED headlights and the YZR-M1 style screen highlight the fact that this bike is an integral part of the charismatic R-Series family and the high level of quality is evident in the rich array of high quality components, including the new plate upper steering and painted front mudguard. The tail has also undergone the "YZF-R1 treatment", and at the rear the bike sports the racing air intakes and 12-LED headlight. To strengthen the bond between motorbike and rider, a personalized greeting appears on the display of the new instrumentation when the motorbike is started. In addition to the central bar-type rev counter, which can be read immediately and the speedometer, the elegant and sporty multi-function LCD display also provides the driver with the gear shift indicator, the gear indicator and the status of the VVA system.
