Yamaha R125 2023: the renewal of the small sports car

La Yamaha R125 for the 2023 it recalls the sporty R7 from the front and the interventions linked to the fourth generation also include chassis and technology.

The motorcycle

Upholstered in shades icon blue e TechBlack, considering the new fairings and the tank area, the taut profile and the arrangement of the light clusters in the frontal area; The sportiness of this model immediately stands out.
Instrumentation is introduced with 5 inch color TFT display which projects two graphic themes: “Street” featuring a tachometer bar gauge and central speedometer; or the sportsman “Tracks” with a central stopwatch that can record up to 25 laps, then a rev counter and gear change at the top.
Connectivity via Bluetooth is also worth mentioning with the use of a Yamaha My Ride app and among the solutions we highlight a traction control that can be deactivated, an anti-slipper clutch and an optional electronic gearbox.
From a technical point of view, the bike always presents a Deltabox frame, it is also equipped with a new triple tree defined taking inspiration from that of the R1 specimen and there is also a KYB upside-down fork at the front, combined with an adjustable mono-shock absorber at the rear.
The propulsive heart remains a single-cylinder 125 cc with four valves and variable valve timing, Euro 5. The power reaches i 15 horses at 10.000 rpm, the torque touches down 11,5 Nm at 8.000 rpm.

Availability

The renewed Yamaha R125 is expected in European Yamaha dealerships from March 2023.
