Design and Technology

A sinuous profile, a magnetic luminous signature and new liveries symbiotically define a bold and at the same time elegant vision. A new evolutionary step since 1994. The liveries associated with the model are distinctive: Sapphire Black with red and silver accents or the variant Matt Silver Ice with black, silver and yellow graphics. A sportiness also underlined by the new rims 17 inches made of aluminum and with a V-shaped design. Among the various details, the new superstructures stand out, considering for example the carbon front mudguard, the matching engine guard, the compact tail which can leave a seat for the passenger or insert a single-seater cover. The new Speed Triple 1200 RS it can be customized by choosing from 35 original accessories.

The technological aspects are also different, starting with full-LED light clusters with function DRL in the front area and directional indicators equipped with an automatic deactivation function, also mentioning the adoption of an integral key-less system (which can be deactivated for safety reasons via the remote control integrated into the key, as indicated).

Access to the riding modes is made simple by a button on the left block. In "Rain" mode the maximum power is limited to 100 horsepower and the intervention of ABS and Traction Control is set to the maximum level, while in "Track" mode the action of the electronics is not invasive.
Also mentioned a wheelie control systema with an action linked to advanced algorithms and the IMU platform. The intervention parameters are linked to the riding mode for the best functioning according to the riding style.

Technology

A reduction in weight is immediately underlined 10 kg. The motorcycle is equipped with a new frame 17% lighter, designed to promote reactivity and dynamic precision, given a center of gravity moved further forward and lower. The weight in running order amounts to 198 kg, as mentioned 10 kg less than the previous generation.

There are adjustable Öhlins suspensions with a setting that transmits comfort on the road but, if necessary, supports lively dynamism on the track. At the front you can see USD Öhlins NIX30 forks, which can be managed in terms of preload and hydraulics in rebound and compression, while at the back there is an Öhlins TTX36 monoshock monoshock, which is always adjustable in preload, compression and rebound. The Brembo high-performance braking system consists of Brembo Stylema® monobloc radial-mount calipers at the front, with double 320 mm discs, while at the rear there is a single Brembo caliper with double pistons.
