The range Suzuki V-Tree it has had great success since 2002, when the first 1000 was launched, and then continued with subsequent updates. Almost 40.000 copies sold in Italy and now there Japanese house presented a new version: the 800 SE. A model suitable for both long journeys and city use. The acronym, in fact, means 'Street Explorer' and we had the opportunity to see it live this morning in Milan.

The quality characteristics

The new Japanese motorcycle is, therefore, designed for versatility, with the comfort to cover long distances, even with a passenger, but also for the handling, with the large steering radius to navigate city traffic. On a stylistic level, the Suzuki V-Strom 800 SE offers a beaked front, with the headlight unit with LED headlights in hexagonal housings, with flat and clean surfaces of the superstructures. It is available in Lisbon Green, Montreal Blue and Dubai Black.

The handlebar features intuitive controls that are easy to use even when wearing heavy gloves. The instrumentation has a 5 inch color TFT LCD multifunction display, with dual display modes, day and night, and USB socket for charging your device. THE circles they are 19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear, with tubeless tires in sizes 110/80R19 and 150/70R17. The wheel design is new, with seven slightly inclined spokes with a dynamic design.

The engine

The new model of the Japanese brand is driven by the 776 cc parallel twin engine, with a power of 84 horsepower and a maximum torque of 78 Nm, with an average mileage of 22,7 km/l (WMTC cycle) and a range of approximately 450 kilometres, thanks to the 20 liter tank. The transmission is six-speed, on an assisted slipper clutch.

The engine is managed in an integrated manner with all the on-board electronics of the package Suzuki Intelligent Ride System. Among which we find three different driving modes, the ride-by-wire accelerator, the traction control or the bidirectional electronic gearbox. Furthermore, the V-Strom 800 SE has an ABS system, with the opportunity to choose two modes of operation.

The Suzuki V-Strom 800 SE will arrive in dealerships in a week, on Friday 13 October, with a price of 10.700 euro (fc). This model also benefits from the Suzuki warranty of up to 4 years included in the price. The 36 month warranty can, in fact, be extended free of charge for a further 12 months by carrying out periodic maintenance within the terms recommended by the manufacturer.
