Suzuki – News arriving in the knobby wheel sector: Suzuki presented the new 250 cross, which is completely renewed, inspired by its older sister RM-Z450. With a newly designed frame and swingarm and an updated engine, the 250 RM-Z2019 aims to excel in competitions at all levels and offer intense emotions to enthusiasts in amateur use.

Suzuki RM-Z250 2019: how it's made

The new Suzuki RM-Z250 2019 is the result of the work done by technicians since 2004 and in Japan they are ready to further raise the performance bar in its category. To obtain a perfect balance, the work was done at 360 degrees, following a working method that has already borne fruit also in MotoGP and among super sports bikes with the latest GSX-R. The 250 RM-Z2019 has the qualities to impose itself in races and to become the point of reference for all amateurs looking for a vehicle with exceptional performance but always easy to control and reliable. Suzuki has concentrated its efforts on improving handling and cornering speed above all, two decisive factors in reducing lap times and allowing the rider to ride naturally and incisively. Behind these results there is primarily a lightweight aluminum frame designed from scratch, which sees the torsional rigidity increase by 10% and houses the engine in a slightly raised position, a choice that increases agility. Another important innovation is the variable-section hydroformed aluminum swingarm, lightened and connected to a KYB monoshock equipped with different spring adjustments. The seat support frame has also been redesigned, as has the upside-down fork with golden sliders capable of better copying bumps.

The interventions made have led to great driving precision on all terrains. The superstructures derived from the 450 RM-Z2018 leave great freedom of movement in the saddle and allow riders of all sizes to easily control the bike, when cornering, jumping or on steep gradients. The slim and streamlined line expresses aggression and dynamism, with the beaked front mudguard which recalls a typical feature of Suzuki off-road vehicles of the past together with the characteristic yellow and blue livery. The braking system has been updated: it is now more modular and powerful, with the diameter of the front disc increasing from 250 to 270 mm and pads made from a different material. Maximum power has increased by approximately 5% and torque availability is now wider and at all speeds. The engine guarantees a quicker response to accelerator rotations and has an incredibly progressive and linear delivery, ideal for fully exploiting its potential, both in races and outings with friends. To optimally manage starts, the rider has the advanced Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control (S-HAC) system. This device always chooses the ignition times with the utmost precision and offers two maps to select according to the terrain to be tackled, both updated in their operating logics and very effective in giving the best possible starting point when exiting the gate. First deliveries of the 250 Suzuki RM-Z2019 are scheduled for early next year.
