A few days ago we mentioned the eScooter presented by Smart at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, at the same time as the debut of Scooter E, MINI's city two-wheeler, at the same event across the Alps. Do you remember? Well, we have collected a gallery, sifting through the automotive websites that went to the event in the City of Light, to try to have a much less static vision of this motorcycle product.

As we had said, compared to the MINI Scooter E, the Smart eScooter has a much more futuristic and much less refined appearance: the pencil is very simple and direct and recalls, in part, the Teutonic city car that made the brand that belongs to Daimler famous.

One of the strong points of the small scooter is the electric engine, placed inside the rear tyre. It is an engine that provides approximately 5,4 horsepower, but which provides torque (which, unfortunately, we do not yet know) already at a low rpm. The Smart eScooter unit is supplied with energy by the 28 Volt lithium ion battery, which has a capacity of 80Ah and which allows you to travel around 100 kilometers per hour on one charge. To top up your energy supply, three to five hours are enough, using your home's electricity line.

There are numerous important features of the eScooter borrowed from the automotive world, from which Smart comes, such as a front airbag for the rider, the ABS electronic device, the Blind Spot Assist, which monitors the right rear-view mirror and warns in the event that the gear shift both dangerous, and LED lighting technology.
