Rome Motodays 2018 | Yamaha presents the GT Pack for the Tracer 700
The range of accessories for Iwata's Sport Touring increases, all in the name of comfort
On the occasion of the Roma Motodays, now in its tenth edition, Yamaha showed for the first time the new GT Pack package for the Tracer 700.
The base remains that of the Iwata twin-cylinder, therefore: 689 cc Euro4 approved engine, compact tubular frame, 10-spoke aluminum rims and digital instrumentation. These are several mainly aesthetic updates that make the Tracer even more comfortable.
To better explain all the innovations included in this new package, we spoke to one of the managers present at the stand: “The GT package includes a larger, adjustable screen that more or less maintains the shape of the original. The Confort Saddle is made of memory foam and takes the shape of the seat. Furthermore there is also the suitcase package, which also includes quick release frames. In addition, we also have many other packages that include various options, such as heated grips and various accessories. There is the possibility of mounting GPS and cell phone holders on the steering plate. The GT Pack was presented for the first time here at Motodays and is already available on the market. The Tracer 700 is already equipped with front and rear ABS as standard with the possibility of inserting different maps for different climate conditions. The engine is the crossplane two, a racing derivative characterized by irregular combustion. The crossplane derives from the R1 and was then transferred to the three-cylinder of the MT-09 and then also to the twin-cylinder mounted here. It's an engine that guarantees good range and fairly high-performance base performance.”
