At the press presentation of Anlas Capra Extreme, we had a chat with Pietro Delle Cave, CO Anlas Italy, regarding the products of the Turkish company and its future strategies.

Anlas, a leading company of tires for motorcycles and scooters in Turkey, has been present in Italy for two years, and has also started distributing in other European countries, but the choice of our country as a launching pad seems clear.
“Exactly, Italy was chosen for its peculiarities at a market level, the motorcycle sector is very important here, and the major European tire brands present and study their products with this country in their sights”.

Anlas covers all the sizes at the scooter level, and presented the Winter Grip 2, winter tires dedicated to cold temperatures and with lamellar construction. In the motorcycle world, in addition to these, it has however dedicated itself to the "adventure" sector. Was it a precise choice?
“Yes, we wanted to enter the market with innovative and dedicated products, our philosophy, of tires that are "sewn" onto the motorbike, like a tailor making a tailor-made suit, pushed us to choose a specific sector, that of maxi enduros , where we can enter in a competitive manner in terms of technology and proposal, without immediately forcing us to cover the entire offer in the motorcycle world, from custom to road sports".

Doesn't this penalize you?
“Absolutely not, on the contrary, it allowed us to enter a market, being able to get noticed for the type of product we offer and our philosophy, today we have 3 products for maxi enduros, the Capra RD, 90% road and 10% off, the Capra R 75% road and 25% off, and the Capra They remain high-performance even on wet asphalt, thanks to the addition of silica, which Anlas does at its own expense, without making the end customer pay for it. We thus give our customers the opportunity to choose the tire best suited to their needs, based on the route and use they have to make of their motorbike, but always with an eye on mileage and therefore on the consumer's final expenditure".

In a very short time, you have been able to acquire significant notoriety in our market
“Yes, this was thanks to a marketing policy, which I like to define as honest, from the first fairs where we were practically unknown, to today, where in the maxi enduro sector we have instead become a reality, we have continued to believe in our product, pushing it alongside motorcyclists, allowing them to test it in the field, participating in dedicated events, and letting the motorcyclists themselves experience what we offer first-hand. The Winter Grip Plus have demonstrated their effectiveness on the field this winter, earning the market's trust with facts, and this can be said for the others, the Capra line, dedicated to maxi enduros, for example, with the inserted a road block, with mileage, off-road grip, resistance of the block to tears and performance on asphalt, thanks to the technological research of the composites, the design of the carcass and the 'practical' attention that Anlas pours into its products, always with the end customer, the motorcyclist, at the centre".

You didn't stop there though
“Absolutely not, we are constantly growing, always working on new products, for now we are still in the enduro field, starting from the adventure segment, we have arrived now, with the aim of arriving at cross, always following our philosophy, to present a specialist enduro tyre, the Capra Extreme, and we wanted to do so by trying to innovate the product. For the Extreme we studied a new composite, liquid rubber, which allowed us to have a new compound for the tire, which allows for greater sturdiness of the block, without compromising with the various types of terrain, from hard to mud. We presented the Capra Extreme in two versions for the rear tyre, the Soft, competitive, and the Standard, for those who do enduro but not at a competitive level, and therefore expect greater durability and lower costs from the tyres. Therefore, always a 'tailored' approach, tailor-made for our client."

You will also participate in the Speedway World Championship
"Yes. We will participate in the Speedway world championship, sideways, here too we wanted to innovate, putting our face on the field, and thanks to a collaboration with Kineo Wheel, we wanted to introduce tubeless technology, in a segment where it had never been introduced, eliminating the inner tube, therefore reducing the weight of the bikes and increasing performance, while simultaneously increasing the stability of the tires in the race.
Here too, therefore, always with our innovative spirit, and our research, believing in the product, and betting on it".

To return to the non-professional market, the introduction of liquid rubber technology in the racing Capra Extreme, do you also plan to use it for different products?
“This type of compound is certainly proving to be very interesting and I don't rule out the inclusion of other products with this technology, perhaps in the super sports segment in the future. But we want to continue with our philosophy, therefore continue with our 'tailored' project of proposal in the segment, and a development of products that follows the natural evolution of the segment of use".

You are very active in Italy, leader in Turkey, in which other countries are you present with your products?
“In addition to Italy, we are present with exclusive importers in Spain for three years, England for a few months, Poland, the Czech Republic, Serbia and globally in 35 countries for now. The choice of the Italian market as a business model was desired by the company precisely due to the particularity of this user and market, as well as its importance, it is a difficult market, with very high demand standards, where in order to excel one must propose a truly valid product, which, after being tested in the field, convinces motorcyclists to believe in it and use it".

Is this why the use of tire campaigns, such as the 15.000 km with the Capra RD?
“Yes, exactly, to demonstrate our attention to the customer and our attention to the development of tyres, which in a specific case, like the Capra RD for example, offer “sporty” grip and construction rigidity performance, but that at the same time do not compromise with consumption, a constant search, therefore, towards a result that can offer more to those who use them than the competition".

What's new for the future? If possible, of course, given the speed of product presentation
“We have a lot of irons in the fire, and news to present also, after the Speedway world championship, which has just been made official and the presentation of the Capra Extreme which has just been made, but not today, I'll make you wait a little longer”.
