Metzeler Roadtec 01 – The Metzeler brand presented the new Sport Touring Radiale Roadtec 01 tire in Frankfurt, the latest addition to the family which ensures excellent grip on both dry and wet surfaces even in less than optimal asphalt conditions, first-rate mileage and stability high at high speeds and at full load.

“Take the Road with Roadtec 01” is the communication campaign that accompanies the new Metzeler Roadtec 01, enhancing its versatility and performance and inviting motorcyclists to get on their motorbike and hit the road without fearing the weather. Compared to its predecessor, the Roadtec Z8 Interact, its strong points include an improvement in grip on wet surfaces and on low-friction surfaces, an increase in mileage (+10%) and a high degree of adaptability to different motorbikes, riding styles driving and weather conditions. The new Metzeler Roadtec 01 features a completely new tread pattern. In particular, the front tire has grooves that are more transverse to the direction of rolling of the tire. This has allowed us to increase the mechanical grip on low-friction surfaces and in different driving situations. The contact area with the asphalt is now wider and shorter and, working together with the technology of the Metzeler brand products of the 0 grade steel, guarantees greater mileage and long-lasting performance. Furthermore, the innovative compounds are well suited to the needs of different categories of motorcyclists.

The new Metzeler Roadtec 01 was developed with the aim of creating a versatile product, capable of satisfying a large number of motorcyclists with different bikes and riding styles. Excelling in terms of wet behavior in different conditions, mileage and stability, while maintaining the typical handling of Metzeler products, Roadtec 01 is perfect for all those who need a tire for pure road use. Unlike the Sportec M7 RR, a super sports product designed to bring performance such as grip and handling to sporty driving situations on the roads of
every day, which often have surfaces with a less than perfect road surface and can even be wet, the new Metzeler Roadtec 01 offers significantly higher mileage, a level of grip that remains high even in more demanding weather and asphalt conditions, and better stability as well as greater comfort. In the sizes developed for large enduros, compared to a product like the Tourance Next, the new Metzeler Roadtec 01 01 offers better performance in road use, while Tourance Next remains superior off-road.

The sizes of the new Metzeler Roadtec 01 can already be purchased from all official retailers. All the sizes that make up the range will be available by the end of the first half of 2016, the front 120/60 ZR 17 will be the last to be marketed at the beginning of 2017 .
