Eicma 2012 – Bimota ready to repeat its success

Bimota comes back to EICMA aiming to repeat the extraordinary success of last year by almost doubling the exhibition area and displaying as many as 19 models ranging from production motorbikes to the 2013 models up to the prototypes that will see the light of day in the immediate future.

Many customers ask Bimota to re-propose a model based on a 4-cylinder engine and so the company has decided to expand the range of models equipped with Ducati twin-cylinder engines, unique in the world for their performance, small size and versatility, with a new model; hence the important collaboration with BMW Motorrad.

A first prototype is proposed at EICMA which will give the idea of ​​future production, destined to be talked about for its style and power. Already in 2013 the BB2 will see the light of day, a project that combines the unique style of Bimota with the German engine quality of BMW which will equip this model with its 4 cyl. 193hp already used on the S1000RR. This operation marks a future of collaboration that will reserve a lot of interesting surprises in the immediate future of these 2 important leading companies in the motorcycle sector.

The range of motorcycles already in production is enriched by bringing the award-winning 1198 Testastretta 11° engine to the entire range of "4 valve" models and the "R" version of the very successful DB10 B.Motard.

Regarding the absolute novelties, the DB11 super sports car will arrive, also in the DB11VLX version equipped with a new volumetric compressor that will push maximum torque and power close to the maximum values ​​in the category.

Among the new features there will also be the "NAKED" version of the Tesi 3d Evo, (a model that embodies the Bimota DNA in its double swingarm, here available in the two-seater version with high handlebars) and the DBX, the first on/off road model that will go on sale production in January, in the wake of the success achieved with the off road prototypes last year, at EICMA.

DB12 B.TOURIST is Bimota's proposal for the motorcyclist who loves to travel and experience motorcycling 365 days a year; Bimota's first Sport Tourer could only be like this: beautiful and exclusive, but at the same time agile and agile thanks to the 4cc 1198-valve Ducati Desmodromic heart, capable of giving unique and indescribable emotions.

The success of DB9 throughout the world prompted the creation of the new "Italia" livery with a beautiful white color cut by a tricolor band of rare beauty.

Protagonists of the market, DB5 Desiderio, DB5RE, DB6RE, Tesi 3D, DB 10 B.motard are present at the Milanese catwalk to complete the range of Bimota offers for all its customers.

Motorex as a partner for lubricants, Beta and LV8 in the workshop sector and K&N for air filters constitute Bimota's great 2013 partnerships which join the other companies with which we have collaborated successfully for some time; during EICMA a "Bimota workshop corner" will be presented, created in collaboration with LV8 and Beta Utensili, which is already available for sale for those who want to personalize their workshop or garage with a series of unique, top-of-the-range tools, as per Bimota tradition.

On the clothing front, new Bimota leather suits will be proposed in 2 variants and the entire range, already on sale, of clothing dedicated to free time, created in collaboration with DO Design.
