Ducati: the Monster 1200 25th Anniversary is reality

To celebrate the first 25 years of history of the most iconic motorcycle of the Borgo Panigale company, which has been produced in over 1993 units since 325.000, Ducati has decided to create the Monster 1200 25th Anniversary.

Ducati Monster 1200 25th Anniversary: ​​a jewel for a few

Produced in just 500 numbered examples, the Monster 1200 25th Anniversary represents the maximum expression of sporty Naked for Ducati. It stands out for its dedicated tricolor livery which characterizes the front fairing, tank and passenger seat cover, inspired by the 4 Monster S2008RS Testastretta Tricolore. The special livery matches perfectly with the precious saddle on which the 25th anniversary logo is embroidered. The gold-coloured frame and forged Marchesini rims with W-shaped spokes of the same color are other distinctive signs of this Monster, also embellished with numerous details machined from solid material such as the mirrors, the frame caps, the handlebar counterweights and the fuel cap, this the last one supplied. The articulated brake and clutch levers and the license plate holder are also made of aluminium, while the front and rear mudguards, the key lock cover and the exhaust heat shield are made of carbon fibre. The Monster 1200 25th Anniversary is supplied with a motorcycle cover, embellished with the graphics that characterize this special series. From a chassis perspective, the Monster 1200 25th Anniversary is equipped with solutions worthy of a sports bike. The steel tube trellis frame and the single-sided aluminum swingarm are combined with a fully adjustable Ohlins fork with 48 mm diameter legs, an Öhlins rear shock absorber also fully adjustable and the steering damper, also from famous Swedish house. The first-rate braking system consists of two 330 mm diameter Brembo discs at the front coupled with Brembo M50 monobloc calipers. At the rear, the 245 mm diameter disc is coupled to a Brembo caliper.

Ducati Monster 1200 25th Anniversary: ​​engine and electronics

The Monster 1200 25th Anniversary is equipped with the latest evolution of the Testastretta 11° DS which guarantees not only high power and torque values, but also a smooth and full power delivery curve right from low revs and an always gradual accelerator response and well manageable, therefore maximum driving fun.
The twin-cylinder of the Monster 1200 25th Anniversary is capable of delivering 147 HP at 9.250 rpm and a maximum torque of 124 Nm at 7.750 rpm. Thanks to the constant attention that Ducati dedicates to quality and reliability, the Testastretta 11° DS engine of the Monster 1200 25° Anniversario also guarantees long maintenance intervals, such as valve adjustment which is scheduled every 30.000 km. The rich electronic package, integrated with the three different Riding Modes (Sport, Touring and Urban), includes the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), which provides information to the Bosch Cornering ABS and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) systems. Thanks to this high-level electronic equipment, which also includes Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Ducati Quick Shift Up and Down (DQS) for quick changes without using the clutch, the Monster 1200 25th Anniversary is able to guarantee true Ducati performance but manageable and within everyone's reach, always offering a high level of active safety. The color TFT dashboard provides all the necessary information and allows you to adjust the Riding Mode settings with a pleasant and intuitive interface. Furthermore, the front headlight is equipped with a DRL (Daytime Running Light) system, which guarantees perfect daytime visibility and immediate recognition of the motorbike.

The Monster 1200 25th Anniversary will be available from September in Europe, from October in Japan, from November in the United States and from December in Australia but it can already be ordered at all Ducati Stores.
