ducati world premiere 2017

"More than Red, evolution never stops represents the synthesis of the 2017 Ducati that we presented this evening”, said Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding. “Red, Red, like passion, performance, racing, and "more", or "more", for the product range which continues to expand to include more accessible and differentiated motorbikes, but also for an unprecedented offer of services. An example above all is the new certification and guarantee system for used Ducatis. It's called Ducati Approved and it makes access to the Ducati world even easier with the convenience of a used product and with the safety and guarantees totally equivalent to a new product. And then Chaz, DesmoDovi and Casey all together with the most extraordinary bike ever produced by Ducati, the 1299 Superleggera to complete a fantastic evening".

Protagonists of the stage of the Ducati World Première 2017 are the new bikes that complete and expand the Ducati range for 2017. Six of the eight new features planned for MY 2017 were unveiled on the eve of EICMA, preceded by the SuperSport, which had already been successfully presented during INTERMOT 2016, the international fair held in Cologne from 3 to 9 October. The eighth and final innovation will arrive in January 2017. Claudio Domenicali during the Ducati World Première anticipated a new collaboration with the famous Diesel clothing brand which, after the success of the Monster Diesel presented in 2013, will see a new and singular Diavel Diesel interpretation of this constructive collaboration.

There is only one motorcycle that can be recognized even without the writing on the tank: the Monster. Much more than a motorbike, an icon which, for twenty-four years, has identified a segment and an original motorcycling philosophy "made in Ducati". For 2017 the Monster family is renewed and expanded, with the arrival of the new 1200 and the new 797. The Monster 1200 is a new project in design and content, the Monster essence in its pure state. Volumes, silhouette, tank and headlight are faithful to the lines of the motorcycle created in 1993. Also available in the precious and high-performance S version, the Monster 1200 has a slimmer tank, a completely redesigned sporty tail, a new and technological front headlight and electronic first-rate derived from that of the 1299 Panigale. Sporty, compact, essential but at the same time sophisticated and contemporary, the Monster 797 embodies all the values of the Monster and represents the gateway to the Ducati world. Everything on the Monster 797 recalls the iconic motorcycle of the 90s, obviously reinterpreted in a modern key: from the tank to the trellis frame, through to the air-cooled twin-cylinder engine and the circular headlight.

Another important new feature unveiled at the 2017 Ducati World Première is the new Multistrada 950, the smallest of the Borgo Panigale "multibikes", designed to give all the emotions of the Multistrada but in a more accessible and versatile way. The Multistrada 950 was designed to offer performance within everyone's reach, both for those who want to tackle long journeys, perhaps as a couple, and for those who want an agile and fun motorbike to use every day.

world premiere 2017 scrambler

Scrambler presents itself at EICMA with two new products that expand the range of the new Ducati brand. The first is the Scrambler Cafè Racer, which interprets the essence of the legendary motorbikes which in the 60s gave rise to a real revolution in the world of two wheels. Free spirit and style: the Scrambler Cafè Racer, in its “Black Coffee” color, brings the 60s into today's Land of Joy. Characterized by 17'' wheels and "racer" style handlebars, it sees the rear part completely redesigned, in pure Café Racer style.

The Scrambler Desert Sled is the second, interesting, novelty for 2017. A motorbike that recalls the off-road spirit of the American off-road motorbikes of the 70s and 80s, further expanding the current range of Scrambler proposals. Thanks to the modified frame and suspension, the spoked wheels with a 19'' front and its captivating and original lines, it is the ideal motorbike for those who wish to be able to leave the asphalt roads and tackle less traveled routes, but always and in any case in key “Land of Joy”. The off-road attitude of the Scrambler® Desert Sled is also underlined by the presence of the approved grille for the front headlight, footrests inspired by the world of off-road with removable rubber pads, high fenders specially designed for this version and obviously the engine guard.

The "grand finale" of the Ducati World Première 2017 was the arrival on stage of the 1299 Superleggera, driven by Casey Stoner, testimonial and prestigious ambassador for this jewel of style and technology. With the 1299 Superleggera, Ducati takes the world of road Supersports to a level never reached before by presenting the first series road motorcycle with a frame, swingarm, subframe and wheels made of carbon fibre, the maximum engineering, technological and performance expression ever produced in series from a motorcycle manufacturer, made in a limited series of only 500 examples.

Under the carbon fiber dress hides the most high-performance version of the Superquadro. Thanks to its 215 horsepower (EURO 4 approved), the desmodromic engine that equips the 1299 Superleggera is the most powerful series twin-cylinder ever produced and represents the maximum technological expression of the Borgo Panigale company and destined to play the role of undisputed "queen" of EICMA 2016. In addition to Casey Stoner, two of the official Ducati riders also participated in the 2017 Ducati World Première, Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) and Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati), winners respectively of the last MotoGP race in Sepang and of the last six Superbike races.
