Ducati Superleggera V4 N° 001/500: reliving the delivery of the example [VIDEO]

The number 001/500

Filip Van Schil, already owner of other Ducati-branded examples, was invited for the delivery on a day also characterized by a special tour of the factory with a visit to the assembly line, also meeting the specialized operator who took care of the engine, as remembered. Also a visit to the Company Museum, the Ducati Style Center and the Racing Department.
Also delivered was a copy of the Ducati Style book with the date of the day and a special dedication by Claudio Domenicali, as well as a sculptural reproduction of the Superlight V4.

The specialised farming model

Streamlined appearance and characteristics that strengthen its determination. Alone 500 specimens, considering an interesting mechanics, as systems are. The use of carbon fiber for various elements and also titanium and magnesium is functional. The aerodynamics are made unique by biplane appendages, recalling the studies done on the 2016 Ducati MotoGP. The vertical load is 50 kg at 270 km/h (20 kg more compared to the solution adopted on the new Panigale V4 and on the Panigale V4 A).
The engine is also highlighted Desmosedici Stradale R V4 of 90° from 998 cc. A power of 224 horsepower is indicated considering an Akrapovič approved exhaust and 234 horsepower with an Akrapovič solution in titanium included in the Racing Kit. Evaluating a dry weight of 159 kg, i.e. 16 kg less than a Panigale V4, the power/power ratio basic weight is 1,41 CV/kg. While with the aforementioned Racing Kit, in light of the indicated 234 horsepower and a weight value of 152,2 kg, the indicated ratio becomes 1,54 HP/kg.
