Ducati Powerstage RR Limited Edition: an exclusive e-enduro model with carbon fiber frame

The new e-MBT introduced Ducati Powerstage RR Limited Edition, an exclusive e-enduro proposal designed to tackle the most challenging routes. Powerstage recalls the new type of special test on e-enduro circuits, where you are engaged in classic downhill tests and also along a technical uphill route.

The exclusive e-enduro bicycle

The look designed by Aldo Drudi, in collaboration with the Ducati Style Centre, takes inspiration from the official team's Desmosedici GP23 and anticipates the character of this e-MTB. A limited edition of 230 numbered copies, which also represents a reference to the racing motorbike.

This new e-enduro represents the result of a symbiosis between sophisticated components and technological solutions. The setup includes a Renthal carbon handlebar, a Fizik saddle with special integrated tool holder and a telescopic seat post. The carbon frame has been evaluated on demanding routes, aiming for maximum performance in an enduro context. Among the interesting details, also from an aesthetic point of view, we mention the bearings on the joints in contact with the carbon without the use of bushings, the asymmetric rear stay, which together with the style is functional in terms of reactivity and uphill traction , therefore the internal passage of the cables protected by a steering stop system (T-Stopper).
The arrangement of the carbon layers and the choice of the types of fiber weaving are linked to the FEM analysis (Finite Element Method), which allows us to identify the points subject to greatest stress, where greater resistance is required. Particular attention was paid to the rigidity of the steering area, the rear stay and the engine area strengthened by two ribs (T-Ribs), as highlighted again on this occasion.

Among the aspects highlighted, the78° vertical seat tube angle allows the cyclist to assume an optimal riding position on technical uphill routes, therefore the64° open steering angle supports the rapid overcoming of obstacles.
The suspension part consists of an Öhlins RXF38 m.2 air fork with a travel of 180 mm and an Öhlins m.2 spring shock absorber with TTX technology, whose travel is 170 mm. Solutions that are fully adjustable in extension and compression, at high and low speeds.
This e-enduro is equipped with Crankbrothers Syntesis wheels of different formats, a 29-inch front and a 27,5-inch rear. The rims are made of variable-thickness carbon to support improved driving precision, with an optimal weight-to-strength ratio. The tires used are Pirelli Scorpion Enduro S and Pirelli Scorpion EMTB-S.
Present one new Shimano EP801 drive unit which retains the characteristics of the EP8, recalling a nominal power of 250 watts, e 85 Nm of torque, offered on a wide range of cadences.

The system includes two assistance profiles: "long ride" which facilitates autonomy on long rides and "fast ride" in order to have maximum performance on shorter rides. Through the "Fine Tune" mode on the Shimano "E-Tube Project" App it is possible to create profiles, considering different opportunities for personalizing the electric assistance. Furthermore the Removable 630Wh Shimano battery it is located inside the "verticalized" downtube, so as to lower the center of gravity to support the overall balance.
Also highlighted are a 12-speed SRAM GX AXS wireless electronic rear shifter and Braking First braking solutions with customized Ducati Corse levers. The discs are 203 mm with a thickness of 3 mm.

Ducati, with the e-Bycycle range 2024, is among the names present at the Eurobike event, scheduled from 21 to 25 June 2023 in Frankfurt, stand I03 in Pavilion 8.
