Ducati and Mirabilandia give life to Ducati World
Andrea Dovizioso and Marco Melandri were also present at the laying of the first stone
It saw the light in recent days Ducati World, the partnership between Ducati e mirabilandia. Announced last November, the initiative has now started with the laying of the first stone which officially opens the construction site inside the famous Ravenna playground.
Ducati World: what it is
Ducati World will occupy an area of approximately 35.000 square meters within Mirabilandia, making it the first thematic area in the world inspired by a motorcycle brand. In addition to the Park's managers and management, the inaugural ceremony was also attended Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, and the two riders representing the MotoGP and SBK Teams Andrea Dovizioso e Marco Melandri. Among the most original novelties of Ducati World there will be an interactive roller coaster, inspired by the racing world, which simulates driving a Panigale V4. The innovative attraction transforms passengers into real drivers, allowing them to control and manage the vehicle during acceleration and braking, thus making each ride an authentic head-to-head challenge between motorbikes speeding along two parallel tracks. The area will also host a structure entirely dedicated to the Ducati Experience with latest generation riding simulators, new attractions designed for the whole family, but also a Ducati Shop, where you can purchase clothing and accessories, and three different refreshment areas inspired by the Ducati world and Scrambler.
Ducati World: word to Claudio Domenicali
Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati at dicati, commented on the initiative as follows: “Thanks to the collaboration with Mirabilandia, Ducati World will be able to offer a truly exciting experience, with interactive motorcycling attractions that will entertain adults and children. Always synonymous with passion and involvement, our company works to offer its enthusiasts a system that goes far beyond the simple experience of using the motorbike. Ducati World therefore integrates perfectly into this vision, as well as being linked to this incredible territory, a land of true passion for motors and a breeding ground for champions".
"The Ducati World project represents a great development opportunity for the area and a fantastic attraction – he echoes this, he states Andrew Corsini, Councilor for Tourism and Commerce of the Emilia Romagna Region -. Motor Valley and Ducati are combined with one of the great tourist attractions of the coast, Mirabilandia, one of the best known amusement parks in Italy, to enhance image, appeal and product. All in line with the new regional strategy, rewarded by over 57 million tourist presences last year and implemented after the approval of the tourism law, which focuses on the prestigious brands of Emilia-Romagna such as Motor, and then Food and Wellness Valley".
